Are antelope easy to hunt?
They're also pretty easy to find—provided you've got a good set of optics for long-range glassing. If you've never done a Western spot-and-stalk hunt, pronghorn will teach you a lot of skills that will prove valuable later on mule deer and elk hunts.
Is it better to hunt does or bucks?
Taking does controls impact on habitat more so than taking bucks because each doe killed also eliminates the potential to produce future deer. Conversely, taking a buck eliminates only that deer and not necessarily potential offspring because other bucks will breed in its place.
How hard is antelope hunting?
Getting close to antelope can be difficult. It's not uncommon to have to make shots between 200 and 300 yards. And remember that an antelope doesn't present a very large target. Before your antelope hunt, spend plenty of time practicing with your rifle in realistic hunting positions, not from a bench.

Antelope meat has a mild flavour of sage, its meat, and that of Bison have slightly different compositions/arrangements of muscle and fat, than deer. While the meat is relatively mild in taste, the fat and marrow on these two animals are more strongly flavoured than deer, Elk or Moose.

Having thoroughly examined the pros and cons, as well as my own specific circumstances, I've always answered with a definitive yes. If the doe population needs to be reduced, the best time to do it is whenever you possibly can, as long as it gets done. For that reason, I'm a frequent late season doe hunter.

Harvesting does early helps balance the buck-to-doe ratio prior to the rut, which puts less strain on antlered deer. While the bucks might argue there's no such thing as too many does, and some biologists argue they head into winter with higher average body weights when the ratio is closer to 1:1.

A 'quartering toward' shot is when the pronghorn is facing you. If the pronghorn is quartering toward you, aim for the front shoulder. If the shot is accurate, the bullet will pass through the lungs (and potentially the heart) and should exit the opposite shoulder blade.
