Pumpkin beetles are usually found in aggregations within the crop on both young and old leaves. Seedlings should be checked twice a week and treated if pumpkin beetles are seen. Older plants should be monitored and treated if defoliation is severe. Recommended control is by the use of trichlorfon or carbaryl.
